Hole Description
Talon’s opening hole is a 426-yard, par 4 from the back tees, with fairway bunkers pinching the landing area. The green is protected by two bunkers short left and one bunker long right, and a collection are to the right of the green. The two-tier green will have most golfers feel satisfied with a two-putt par to start the round.

Hole Description
From 212 yards out the par-3, 2nd hole, requires a mid to long iron shot to the green that slopes from back to front. While a prominent large bunker will collect misses short right, you do have a bailout area short and left of the green for an easier up-and-down.

A new tee box was added to the par-5, 3rd hole, which lengthened the hole considerably and created a different look for the tee shot. The pot bunker in the middle of the fairway was added during the renovation as a target bunker where you have the option to go to the right or to the left of it. Electing to go to the right of the bunker can reward you with the opportunity to go for the green in two, but it does challenge the water and the added bunker to the right of the fairway. Layups short of the fairway bunker, close to the lake, have an easier approach to the angled green along the water’s edge. The further long and right you lay up, the more challenging the approach shot becomes to the green that slopes toward the lake.

Hole Description
The 413-yard par-4 provides you with an option off the tee to go either left or right of the fairway bunker. Going down the left challenges the lake but will leave you with a shorter approach shot into the green from a better angle. Tee shots to the right of the fairway bunker present a longer approach shot into a shallow green with the bunker short and a run-off long.

Hole #5 is a 176-yard par-3 that is surrounded by 3 bunkers and fairway hollows in between. Certain portions of the green have been widened to promote more hole locations. A par is a good score on this hole.

Hole Description
The new back tee on the par-5, 6th stretches the hole to 613 yards. Very few long hitters who can carry the bunker on the right will reap the benefit from the speed slot just over the bunker to chase the ball down the fairway. Laying up to the right side of the fairway bunkers provides a favorable approach shot to the green, while the approach from the left side will leave you with an elevated green and forces you to challenge the greenside bunker.

Hole Description
The 7th hole is a short to mid-length par-4, that requires accuracy off the tee, thanks to the seven fairway bunkers on both sides. The “bottleneck” style fairway requires the longer drives to be more accurate as the fairway pinches in significantly compared to a shorter and a more conservative tee shot, which will leave a longer approach shot to an undulating green protected by fairway hollows and two green-side bunkers.

Hole Description
Despite having one of the widest fairways on the golf course, the 450-yard par-4 8th hole has a lake that runs along the entire right side. The safe strategy off the tee is to stay short of the two fairway bunkers that border the left side of the fairway, which will leave a longer approach shot into a punch-bowl-style green.

The front nine is capped off with a 440-yard, par 4, which has another generous landing area between the three fairway bunkers on the right and one on the left of the fairway. Hugging the left side of the fairway will reward you with a long angle to the bunker-free green that is perched up with multiple run-offs.

Hole Description
The back nine starts with a 392-yard, par-4 with bunkers well positioned on both sides of the fairway and a pot bunker in the center of the fairway. Choosing to go to either side of the pot bunker will depend on the hole location. For the right hole location, you would want to come in from the right side of the fairway to avoid challenging the front green side bunker. The left hole location is more difficult, and you should approach the shot from the left side of the fairway. Missing short right of the green will leave you with a difficult up and down from a collection area.

Hole Description
Hole 11 is a 442-yard par-4, slight dog-leg right, with plenty of room down the left – while it is an easier tee shot down the left, it presents a difficult approach shot to a shallow green that slopes away from the golfer and a forced carry over the greenside bunker. Challenging the bunker and the penalty area down the right may be worth the risk on your tee shot as it not only shortens the hole but provides the golfer with a much better angle to the green.

Hole Description
The 224-yard par-3, 12th hole is possibly the most scenic hole on the property, thanks to the large body of water in a direct line between tee and green. The green has been moved closer to the water’s edge with added bulkheads during the renovation. Although it may be tempting to take the direct route to the green, the huge right-to-left slope short right of the green is there to help those who elect to take a more conservative route get close.

Par-5, 13 is another hole that has been lengthened by adding a new tee box that plays over 570 yards. Although there is some room for error on the tee shot, the difficulty increases as you get closer to the hole thanks to a well-guarded green short and right. There is a ridge that separates the shallow, two-tiered green. A birdie is a good score, but a par will not lose a shot to the field.

Although there is more room down the right off the tee on the 438-yard, par-4, 14, hugging a series of fairway bunkers down the left will provide you with the best angle to the green that pitches away from front to back.

Hole Description
A wonderfully crafted par 4 that plays up to 388 yards challenges the golfer with a slight dog leg to the right with water along the entire length of the hole from tee to green. A shorter approach shot is ideal into this skinny green along the water’s edge to its right, and bunker left of it. Prioritizing accuracy off the tee over distance may be safe at first, but will leave you with a longer approach shot that may be more challenging to hold the green.

The last par-3 of the course plays up to 173 yards to a well-guarded green that is raised. Hole location plays a critical role in how the hole will play – the front right pin plays the most difficult, while the back left pin plays much easier despite not being able to see the entire flag from the tee. The back left pin location also presents a hole-in-one possibility, thanks to the punch bowl shape along the spine that runs through the middle of the green.

The 572-yard par-5 is your last realistic birdie opportunity. Long hitters can challenge the bunker on the right of the fairway, which will provide the most roll-out further down the fairway for a possible two-shot to reach the green. Most golfers will elect to lay up to the right half of the fairway, away from the water. The third shot is no easy task as the green sits along the water’s edge to its left, and is guarded by a steep bunker short and right.

Hole Description
Ranked as one of the best finishing holes in southwest Florida, the lengthened 481-yard par four is one of the hardest holes on the course. Long hitters may attempt to challenge the bunkers down the left, but most will aim down the right-center of the fairway, leaving you with a mid to long iron into an angled green along the lake. What makes the approach daunting is the slight dogleg right nature of the shot, where short right misses will certainly find the water. Although a birdie is not impossible, par is a great finish to cap off the round!

Eagle’s opening hole is a 416-yard, par 4 from the back tees, slight dog leg left where the fairway tightens at the landing area. The second shot will play a half club uphill to the two-tiered green that is protected by a big bunker to the right. The bailout is short left with plenty of fairway to pitch from.

The 587-yard Par 5 2nd hole requires two monster shots to get close to a green that is long, narrow, and slopes right to left. With water on the left side for the duration of the hole, and out-of-bounds right, it requires for precision and focus. With a fall off on both sides of the green, your best miss is to be short and avoid the plenty of greenside bunkers.

Hole Description
At 458 yards, the 3rd hole is very forgiving off the tee. The fairway pinches in for the longer hitters and there is a tree up the right-hand side that can block your approach. Your 2nd shot is a must to come up with the right yardage as there are fall offs surrounding the entire green.

The first Par 3 on the Eagle measures at a healthy 202 yards. Right of the green is a long bunker that is the only thing that saves the ball from going into the water. The miss here is left, with plenty of fairway left of the green to bail, but it leaves a difficult chip that slopes away from you. If you par this one, you are going to be gaining on most of the players.

Hole #5 is a 557-yard par-5 with bunkers surrounding the fairway on both sides. A strong drive can catch a little speed slot that will make the green accessible in 2. A pot bunker sits in front of a very shallow and wide green. Although this hole seems very getable and scorable, with water right and an elevated green, bogey pops up a lot more than you would think.

The #1 ranked handicap hole on the Eagle, the 483-yard Par 4 calls for two perfect shots to get on this green in two. Water parallels the hole from tee to green on the left while there are trees and out-of-bounds right. Bunkers left the green will force players to bail either short which is your best miss, or right where there is a big fall off. Par on this hole is a great score.

The 7th hole measures 475 yards. This hole requires accuracy off the tee, thanks penalty areas left and right. The “snake” shaped fairway gives you an option to lay back to the right or take a more aggressive line to the left. The second shot plays uphill to a green with a false front and bunkers on both sides.

The longer of two par 3’s on the front, the 224-yard 8th hole is a monster. An uphill shot to a two-tiered green, the 8th requires one phenomenal shot to get to the green. If you miss the green, you are faced with a pitch or chip shot that will test your nerves and ability. Big fall offs surround the green short, right, and long. Making par here will feel like a birdie.

The front nine is capped off with a medium length 441-yard par 4. If you decide to hit driver, the fairway will tighten up as a big bunker comes in along the left-hand side. The second shot will play uphill to a green that you cannot miss right or long. The bailout here is left or short.

Hole Description
The back nine starts with a 489-yard par 4. Bunkers right and left pinch the fairway in the landing area. If you are lucky enough to hit the narrow fairway, your second shot to the green will be received with bunkers on both sides and a camelback style green that will make you want to either miss short or long. Left of the green is a no-no on this long par 4.

At 478 yards, the Par 4 11th has water the whole way up the right side of the hole. With a left to right sloping fairway, it’s imperative that you keep it down the left-hand side. A pot bunker sits in front of this two-tiered green that will repel shots not hit with the best contact.

The longest Par 3 on the Eagle measures in at a whopping 233 yards. A big bunker fronts this two tiered green has a fall off short and long. If you are going to miss this green, short and left are the best places to try and get up and down.

The Par 4 13th comes in at 470 yards. Bunkers down the right flank this boomerang style par 4. The fairway plays very narrow if you hit it left or through, out-of-bounds will come up very quickly. You will be hitting your second shot to a very deep, narrow green that slopes hard left to right and away from you.

The only Par 5 on the back measures 570 yards. Water left the whole length of the hole, hitting the fairway here is a good start to making a good score. Laying up is the best decision on this hole as hitting a controlled shot for your 3rd is very important to this two-tiered green. The miss here is left as a fall off right could take you into the penalty area.

At 498 yards, the Par 4 15th hole has a narrow fairway that narrows up and turns slightly to the right in the landing area. With water up the left-hand side and trees right, there is no miss room on the hole. You will be hitting your second shot uphill to a green with a very severe false front. Carry the ball to the hole, and you might find yourself over the green with a very difficult up and down. The miss here is short or left.

Hole Description
The shortest Par 4 on the golf course, the Drivable 16th hole comes in at 326 yards. A very risk-reward hole, you still have to be careful. You can lay up short left and leave a full wedge to a narrow green, or try and carry the bunkers and roll up for an easy birdie. Miss the green left and find yourself in a collection area well below the surface of the green. Miss the green right and you may find yourself in the penalty area.

The 17th hole measures 191 yards. The shortest Par 3 on the course, the 17th still packs a big punch. With water short of the bunker and trouble long, most will find themselves bailing to the fairway short and right of the green.

Hole Description
The longest Par 4 on the golf course, the 18th is 509 yards. With Water protecting this hole on the left side the majority of the way, most people will bail to the bunker right of the fairway. If you are lucky enough to find the fairway, you will be hitting a long second shot to another two-tiered green with a severe false front. A bunker short right seems to collect a lot of errant second shots.
